Program Information

OUR PHILOSOPHY

We are dedicated to providing a program for every child that meets his/her needs for physical, mental, social, emotional development. We believe that every child is special and unique. It is a privilege to provide this place where your child will feel loved and valued as he/she interacts with classmates and teachers. Our entire staff desires to model excellence and integrity. It is our hope that your child will leave our school equipped with a life-long love of learning and the skills to pursue their dreams.

OUR PROGRAM

At Oyana, we create individualized plans for each child and teach academic subjects in ability groupings. This allows us to have mixed-age classes while giving instructions at students’ own levels, ensuring they are challenged at the right pace. Our students experience peer learning in a new way because they have older and younger children learning with them. Children can join at any point in the school year as our curriculum is skills-based and not content-based. Children spend 2 years in one class. This allows for continuity of care and learning and prevents children from going through stressful transitions every year.

We offer a range of extracurricular activities to enrich your child’s learning experience at Oyana School. We hire specialized teachers who are qualified and experienced in each of the following extracurricular areas.

Rather than requiring students to adapt to the system, Oyana School’s system adapts to the students. Our school focuses on developing foundational social and academic skills, problem-solving, and community-building. We are dedicated to providing a program for every child that meets his/her needs for physical, mental, social, and emotional development. We believe that every child is special and unique.
